There will be lots of Spooktacular activities going on at Castle Howard.
The spooky Skelves were back in 2023 to take you on adventure trails around Ray Wood over October half term. They needed help to protect Ray Wood from magical beasts big and small! There were also self-guided trails to enjoy, so visitors put on those autumn warmers and searched for magical beasts whilst enjoying fantastic autumnal foliage and colours in our woodlands!
New for 2023, visitors were able to try out an Outdoor Escape Room trail with puzzles to solve and a fun obstacle course. 2024 activities will be released nearer to the date.
Follow all the fun with a hot chocolate and delicious seasonal treats!
Before you go home, don’t forget to visit the Castle Howard pumpkin patch at the Garden Centre where you can pick your own pumpkin. The kids will love choosing the perfect pumpkin to take home to carve and there are some weekend games for young pumpkin pickers on offer.
For those wanting to get closer to nature, the autumn colours will be creeping in around the Estate. Keep your eyes peeled for an otter or a soaring bird of prey. It is a beautiful time to take a stroll through Ray Wood.
